Formative assessment is part of the day-to-day instructional process. As practice, formative assessment gives both teachers and students feedback to help clarify misconceptions and refine skills during the learning process. The key to effective formative assessment practice is getting teachers to act upon the information they gather during student learning. This site will guide you through the process of putting formative assessment data to work.

Wiki: Formative Assessment Processes That Promote Student Learning
